Lionsgate, the owner of some of the video content in the video from the twilight saga asked for i to be taken down from his blog. It is still available on YouTube but Lionsgate now have the right to advertise on it for free.

Time Lapse Photography Project

For my ICT project i made a few time lapses. Firstly i got the idea when i was surfing through YouTube and i saw a video titled The decomposition of McDonald's burgers and fries it was of various McDonald's burgers rotting and the weird attribute of McDonald's fries that they never decompose. All of the burgers decomposed in to a mouldy fuzzy smelly mess within a month. However the video maker only showed them about every week or so. I thought how cool it would be if this was a time lapse and showed the mould slowly taking over the burger. I did not have the same time scale as that so i decided that i would film fruit. In particular strawberries, i got the idea when the week before i found some mouldy strawberries which had gone mouldy only after about 2 weeks and in the fridge. From this another idea stemmed to film myself sleeping and the river outside my house coming in and out with the tide.
    I decided to film it with my ipad as it would provide a good image quality and an app could be used to film the time lapse. I already had a time lapse app on it but it was not a very good one with a lot of export options and limited amount of time you could have between each picture. I looked on the internet and found a site telling the best time lapse app due to the first having cost i chose the second lapse-it. It lets you take photos at exact intervals which can be set from a 0.1 of a second to about 10000 minutes. Also i do not think there is a limit on the amount of pictures that can be used. After the capture is done it renders it into a video for you with a frame rate that can be determined. Normal video on a tv contains about 30 frames per second (30 different pictures in a second to make it look like it is moving). I wanted this same quality of video so that the film is smooth not with abrupt changes every half second. The video of me sleeping and the river coming in and out will be about 30 seconds and 30 fps so needed 900 frames. From that and your estimated time period one can work out the time difference between each photo taken in real life. I want my rotting fruit video to be longer with a about 2700 frames at 30 fps. The fruit has yet to completely rot so the video is not ready but they have started to go mouldy here is the picture. I will probably post my final video when it is finished.

Google Circles

Google Circles is a utility connected to Google +. You can make circles of people who you can share specifically things with and see separately their posts and status multiple circles can be made. It provides a really neat way of sharing things quickly and easily with only the people YOU want to see it.

Future Homes

People have often wondered what our homes will look like in the future or what they will be able to do in the 60's people thought we would have moving floors and robot servants. However our homes now are not exactly what they imagined. But think about things that do not sound futuristic to you but people half a century ago would consider advanced technology such as home sound systems and phones like the iphone 5 that can do everything you would ever need. Here are some things you might see in the future of houses. Such as an advanced lighting system that controlled your whole house including curtains that could also be set to different moods. A smart house based device can tell you when certain things in your house need changing and/or fixing as well as your energy and water usage.

Iphone 5c and s fanatics have once again queued for day to their hands on the first ones.
These new phones are much like the iphone 5 but the 5c having a plastic case and the 5s a new processing chip the A7 chip as well as the innovative fingerprint scanner.The 5s weighs 112 grams and is 7.6 millimetres wide. Along with the new phones apple have released ios 7 has arrived with a whole new design in all of the apple apps, home screen and interfaces and new things such as airdrop which allows you to play music put on the torch and much more from anywhere in its interface.
